Scan and Add Materials using a Barcode

Learn how to easily add task materials using AroFlo Field barcode scanning

Using the barcode scanner on your device, or an external barcode scanner, you can quickly and easily add materials from inventory on to a Task, Quote, Purchase Order, or Invoice.

Scan materials onto…

a Task

  1. Create or open a task.
  2. Add Materials:

    via Materials area

    - Tap Material in the Job Costs Overview or Items tab > Material.
    - Tap (green plus button) > Search.

     
     

    using the Task Shortcuts

    - Tap > Add Material
    - Tap Search

     
     
  3. Tap the (camera) icon, to use your browser's inbuilt scanner. If using an external scanner paired to your device, tap into the field beside the icon (or any other field for which you have a barcode).

    If you're using pic2shop, make sure you're working in your default browser and tap Scan Barcode (pic2shop).

     
  4. Scan the item's barcode.
  5. Enter the quantity used.
  6. Tap Save.
 
 
 

a Quote

  1. Create or open a quote.
  2. Use your preferred method to view your quote line items
  3. Tap  (green plus button) > Multi-Search
  4. Tap (barcode) in the Search option at the top of the page.

    This option is also available from the Advanced Search.

     
 
 
 

a Purchase Order

  1. Create or open a purchase order.
  2. Tap the Items tab
  3. Tap (green plus button) > Search Material
  4. Tap the (barcode) icon to use your browser's built-in scanner, or tap into the field beside the icon to use an external scanner.

    If you're using pic2shop, make sure you're working in your default browser and tap Scan Barcode (pic2shop).

     
 
 
 

an Invoice

  1. Create or open an invoice.
  2. Tap the Line Items tab
  3. Tap View/Edit Invoice Items
  4. Tap Std Mat
  5. Tap Search.
  6. Tap the (camera) icon, to use your browser's inbuilt scanner. If using an external scanner paired to your device, tap into the field beside the icon (or any other field for which you have a barcode). 

    If you're using pic2shop, make sure you're working in your default browser and tap Scan Barcode (pic2shop).

     
  7. Scan the item's barcode.
  8. Enter the quantity used.
  9. Tap Save.
