Scan and Add Assets using a Barcode

Learn how to add a new asset to your register and its barcode in a few simple steps in AroFlo Field

Using the barcode scanner on your device, or using an external barcode scanner, you can add new assets against a task or the client card.

Create an asset on a task

To add a new asset to a task:

  1. Open the Task.
  2. Tap the Assets tile, or the More tab > Assets.
  3. Tap (green plus button) to bring up the assets list for the client
  4. Tap Categories to select a relevant category.

    New categories can only be created in AroFlo Office. See Create Asset Categories.

     
  5. Tap (green plus button) > Create Asset.
  6. Complete the relevant asset details (see Create an Asset)

    Browser-based scanning

    To use browser scanning, tap the (black square) within the Add Asset screen to populate the Barcode field and any custom fields that have been set up as 'Barcode' fields.

     

    If you're using an external barcode scanner paired to your device, tap into any field for which you have a barcode, e.g. Model No or Serial No, and scan the item.

     
  7. Tap Create Asset to save.

 

Add assets to a client

  1. From the (menu) > tap Manage > Clients
  2. Tap (three dots) next to the relevant client to access the quick actions menu.
  3. Tap Assets.
  4. Follow step 4 onwards, as above.
