Find out how to identify what the elements on a layout mean in AroFlo Office
Updated on December 18th, 2024
Data elements are used to pull information out of AroFlo and display it on your layout, to save you having to manually enter details. The data applied to a layout relates to the client you are creating the layout for.
There are three types of data elements available:
Static Data: information that doesn't tend to change, such as a client name or address
Dynamic Data: information that is the product of a calculation, such as Labour Cost Total or Quote Total
Tables: pre-built groupings that can contain both static and dynamic data.
Click the relevant menu on the left of the layouts Toolbox, or use the search box at the top to find the data elements you need. Simply click the name of the element to add it to your layout.
When adding new data elements to a layout, it is good practice to preview the layout to ensure the correct information is displayed. When adding new data elements to a layout, it is good practice to preview the layout to ensure the correct information is displayed.
If you want to add custom fields to your layouts, you can either start typing the name of the custom field and click the relevant section (e.g. ‘Task Details’) to display results, or you can start typing ‘CF’ in the search and applicable ones will display in the corresponding section. You'll see CF in brackets beside each one, along with a suffix, if applicable, e.g. task custom fields simply say CF, whereas asset custom fields say CF-AS, location custom fields say CF-LOC, etc.
