Periodic Settings

Learn about the settings that control the behaviour of periodic templates

The table below provides an overview of the site admin settings that control the behaviour of periodic templates in Office and Field.

Setting
Description
Automatically Generate New Tasks Check this box to enable automatic generation of new tasks from periodic templates.
All Users to Manually Generate New Tasks Check this box to allow all users to manually generate new tasks from periodic templates.
Next Due Date Calculation

Select a default next due date calculation for periodic tasks to generate:

  • Due date
  • Due date (do not generate if open task exists)
  • Last completion date
Allow Periodic Tasks to Generate on Weekends

Check this box if you want periodic tasks to generate on the date scheduled and not adjust for weekends.

Otherwise, periodic tasks will ignore weekends and are automatically moved to the nearest weekday.

Default Periodic Task Note Restrictions Set the defaults for who has access to periodic task notes.
