Using categories

If you have a large number of certifications, you can organise them into categories.

You can easily move certifications by clicking (double line icon), then drag and drop it on to the relevant category.

Add a category

  1. Click  (plus icon).

  2. Enter a name.

  3. Click Save.

Add a sub-category

  1. Hover over an existing category until you see: 

  2. Click  (green plus icon)

  3. Enter a name.

  4. Click Save.

Edit category name

  1. Hover over an existing category until you see: 
  2. Click  (pencil/paper icon)
  3. Edit the name.
  4. Click Save.

Delete a category

Categories can only be deleted if they are empty.

  1. Hover over a category until you see: 

  2. Click  button.

  3. Click OK.


Edit a certification or set an expiry alert

When you enable a Certificate Expiry Alert, AroFlo will check each day for any certificates that are due to expire within the next week.

If you need a longer period in which to arrange the renewal of a certification, set the expiry date on the user's, client's, or supplier's certificate to one month earlier than the actual expiry date.


  1. On a certification type, click Edit.

  2. From this screen you can:
    1. change the certification name
    2. move it to a different category
    3. set an expiry alert
    4. archive the certification.

  3. Click Save.

Remove expiry alerts

To remove expiry alerts from the Home Dashboard Message Board in AroFlo Office and on My Certifications in AroFlo Field, go into the certification for the relevant user, client or supplier/contractor and set a new expiry date. The expiry alert will be removed overnight.
