Asset categories are used to organise your assets, e.g. Air Conditioners, Emergency lights or Vehicles. When you create an asset, you can assign it to a particular category.
To create an asset category:
- Go to Manage > Assets.
- In the Categories panel, click the
(add category) icon. - 'New Category' will appear. You can edit the category name as required.
- Click
(Save).
Sub-categories
To create a sub-category:
- Hover over a category.
- Click
(green plus icon). - 'New Category' will appear. You can edit the category name as required.
- Click (Save).
If you have multiple sub-category levels and/or categories with long names, click the small arrow on the category slider to expand the view, or drag the bar across with the mouse.
