AroFlo's in-built GPS tracking feature can be enabled to track the location of your field staff throughout the day. When users are logged into the Field interface, AroFlo periodically checks and records their GPS locations as they travel from job to job.
Daily tracking information for Field users can be viewed on a map within the Office interface. This feature can be very useful if you'd like to know the current location of your field staff, whether they have arrived at their scheduled job, or their location when work is signed off.
The benefits of using this feature include:
Office staff can track field staff locations throughout the day for easier scheduling.
Field staff can use their daily tracking information for faster timesheet entries.
Office staff can refer to GPS records when verifying timesheets and labour entries on tasks.
Limited GPS data
When GPS tracking is enabled for a Field user, AroFlo periodically checks their location and records the date, time and GPS coordinates of each checkpoint.
For more detailed GPS tracking, we recommend that you download the Traccar appon your Apple or Android device and connect it to AroFlo.
The periodic checking of GPS locations for users logged into the Field interface is disabled by default. This includes last known positions that are required for scheduling tasks to nearest resource in the calendar.
Before enabling this feature, you should speak to your Field users about GPS tracking in AroFlo and let them know they will need to allow location sharing in the browser on their mobile device.
Once GPS tracking has been enabled, field staff can access their daily tracking information for faster timesheet entries in AroFlo Field. For a guide on how to use this feature, see GPS Timesheets.
In AroFlo Office, Admin users are able to access tracking information for each GPS timesheet entry to assist with approving timesheets for payroll. For more information, see Manage Timesheets with GPS.
