When connecting AroFlo-MYOB Live to MYOB AccountRight SE (Server Edition) you may get an error in the DebugLog when trying to connect:

Debug Log
The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

 

Check the Server List

You can check what file list MYOB Server is presenting by opening a web browser and pointing to the same address from AroFlo-MYOB > Tools > Options > MYOB Live

 

Paste that URL into Chrome/Firefox

The URI column is what AroFlo-MYOB uses to connect to the right data file and it should say http://ServerName:8080/accountright/... and NOT http://localhost:8080/accountright/...

PublicAddressServer

To resolve this we need to tell the AccountRight SE API service what it's server name is by editing the config file.

You must stop the MYOB AccountRight API or MYOB AccountRight Server service before changing the config file.

C:\Program Files (x86)\MYOB\API\<VersionNumber>\MYOB.AccountRight.API.WindowsServiceHost.exe.config
or
%APPDATA%\Local\Programs\MYOB\AddOnConnector\<VersionNumber>\MYOB.AccountRight.API.AddOnConnector.exe.config

In that file you will need to change the following settings:

<add key="PublicAddressServer" value="ServerName"/>
<add key="PublicAddressPort" value="8080"/>
<add key="InstallationAddress" value="http://ServerName:8080"/>

 

You can now restart the API/Server service and test by check the webpage you used in the previous step.

AroFlo-MYOB Live

You should now be able to restart the AroFlo-MYOB Live link and connect to the file with no issues.
