Setup and Navigation Tools

Learn how to use the interface elements of the Map in AroFlo Office

This page gives you some information as to what is displayed around the Map screen and what tools are available to you.

 

AroPoint GPS Settings and Tools

The main settings and tools can be found at the top right:

Icon Option Description

AroPoint Users

Opens up the administration menu. Use this for adding users.

Only Manager users will have access to the Admin menu.

 

Tools Acess the tools menu. Use this to set up alerts and geofences.

Setup Access the general setup options.

Language settings Change the default language selection (Australian English is the default).

 

Setup

From the main Map screen, click Setup. The following tabs will be used: 

Main

  • Choose units of measurement.
  • Calendar and timezone settings.
 
 

Object groups

Organise your objects by creating groups specific to your company's workflow.

 
 

Drivers

Add driver details and assign them to objects (Optional). This is helpful if using Driver IDs.

 
 

Events

Add custom events.

Please contact AroFlo support if you wish to use custom events, e.g. device temperature, or battery life indicator for equipment tracking devices.

 
 
 

Widgets

Customises the widgets you want displayed on the sides of the screen, e.g. Sensors and Services.

 
 

 

Map Options and Settings

The following options display on the right-hand side of the screen. Most of them are toggled on or off when you click them.

These options control how the map displays

Icon Option Description
Full Screen Mode Hides widgets from around the screen, giving you an expanded view of the map.
Change Map

Use a different map source, e.g. Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, Bing maps.

Zoom in Click to zoom in.
Zoom out Click to zoom out.

Returns your objects to the middle of the screen.

Displays live traffic.

Objects Panel

 

Use the Objects Panel on the left-hand side of the screen to manage your objects and object groups.

Objects

View and manage objects.

More info

  1. Click on the object name to zoom in on the object's last known location on the map
  2. The name of the asset appears here.
  3. Click the three dots beside an object to bring up the object shortcuts. You can show history for a time period, edit the object, or click on Assigned Users to display the users assigned to that asset.
Icon Description
Add a new object.
Check the current status of the fleet.
Displays selected object/object group on the map.
Brings up the object shortcuts (for an object) / lets you edit an object group (for an object group).

Events

Shows a history of recorded events and alerts, e.g. enter or leave a geofence, speeding.

More info

- Click individual entries to display the data on the map. 
- Click the three dots () beside an event and click (Alert) to view or modify the set alert.
 
 
 
 

History

Select a date range to view device history and data for each object.

More info

  1. Select an object.
  2. Select the relevant date range.
  3. Click Show history.

Click individual entries to display the data on the map.

  • Click Show Scheduled Tasks on the right of the screen to display attended tasks for that object for the date range selected. Tasks will be displayed on the map (suitcase icon).
  • Click a task to display information about the task including the AroFlo job number, client, schedules and location.
  • Click the hyperlink to open up the task in AroFlo.
